Mountain climates: It's cold. There's more precipitation at high altitudes than in low land and regions.

Polar climates : They have very low temperatures. There's very little precipitation, and it's usually in form of snow. 

Oceanic climates: They have mild temperatures all year long. There's a lot of precipitation, especially in winter 

Mediterranean climates: They have cold winters and hot summers. There's not very much precipitation. 

Equatorial climates: They have higher temperatures and a lot of precipitation all year 

Tropical climates: They have high temperatures all year. There's a lot of precipitation in summer, but the weather is dry in winter 

Desert climates: They have very little precipitation all year. Temperatures can be very extreme.
